Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective date: July 12, 2026

PraiseShare (“we,” “us”) provides tools for worship leaders to manage songs and setlists and run live worship sessions that congregations can follow in real time. These terms govern your use of the PraiseShare web app, the PraiseShare iOS app, and the praiseshare.com website. By using PraiseShare, you agree to them — if you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Copyright and licensing — your responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use any songs, lyrics, or chord progressions you add to PraiseShare.

  • Copyrighted worship songs require a valid CCLI license or other appropriate licensing agreement.
  • PraiseShare does not provide any licenses for copyrighted material.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PraiseShare from any copyright infringement claims arising from content you add.

2. User content and copyright

You retain ownership of all content you create in PraiseShare. However, you grant PraiseShare a license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload
  • Your use of copyrighted material complies with all applicable laws
  • You have obtained all necessary licenses (such as CCLI) for copyrighted songs
  • Your content does not infringe on any third party’s rights

3. Planning Center and third-party imports

Importing songs from Planning Center or any other service does not grant you copyright permissions to use those songs.

When importing content from Planning Center or other sources:

  • You still need appropriate licenses (CCLI, OneLicense, etc.) for all copyrighted songs
  • Planning Center access does not equal copyright permission
  • You must verify licensing for each song you import
  • You are responsible for ensuring your church’s licenses cover all imported content
  • Some songs in Planning Center may require additional licenses beyond CCLI

4. Subscriptions and billing

PraiseShare offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. If you subscribe to a paid plan, the following terms apply:

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose — through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or time you did not use.
  • Every new account includes a 15-day free trial of Premium. No credit card is required to start it, and you are not charged unless you choose to subscribe.
  • We may change our prices from time to time. Any change applies to billing periods after the change takes effect, and we will give you reasonable notice beforehand.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PraiseShare, its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights
  • Any content you upload or create using PraiseShare

6. DMCA compliance

PraiseShare respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please contact us at admin@praiseshare.com and include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing material
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief
  • A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use PraiseShare only for lawful purposes related to worship and music ministry. You will not:

  • Upload copyrighted content without proper licensing
  • Share or distribute copyrighted material to unlicensed users
  • Use the service to circumvent copyright protections
  • Upload offensive, inappropriate, or non-worship content

8. Account termination

PraiseShare reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly those involving copyright infringement.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

PraiseShare is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

PraiseShare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to copyright infringement claims against you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of PraiseShare will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we will update this page and adjust the effective date, and the app will ask you to review and accept the new version. Continued use of PraiseShare after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
